Conveyance Terms

  • MKITECH is authorized to engage a third party on its behalf and on terms it deems fit to transport all purchased goods.
  • Any delivery notes, waybills, or invoices (copy or original) signed by the Customer or a third party engaged in transporting the goods and held by MKITECH shall serve as prima facie proof that delivery was made to the Customer per the quality and quantity stated therein.
  • The risk of damage to or destruction of goods passes to the Customer upon signing the delivery receipt upon delivery to the Customer or the Customer’s nominated representative. The Customer agrees to fully insure the goods until paid for in full.
  • If the Customer engages its third party to transport the goods, the Customer indemnifies MKITECH against any claims arising from such an agreement.
  • MKITECH is entitled to invoice and deliver each order separately.
  • All orders and modifications to orders are subject to these terms and conditions. MKITECH will only accept written orders and modifications, although MKITECH may, at its sole discretion, choose to accept and act on telephonic orders and modifications. MKITECH reserves the right to refuse delivery or collection of any order until a written order form is received.
  • MKITECH may split the delivery of goods in the quantities and on the dates it decides, with the prior consent of the Customer, which consent shall not be unreasonably withheld.
  • Delivery, installation, commencement, and performance times given are estimates and not binding on MKITECH. MKITECH will use its best efforts to meet such delivery times, but time is not of the essence of this agreement unless expressly agreed upon in writing by MKITECH. MKITECH shall not be liable for any loss or damage the Customer may suffer due to incorrect or delayed delivery, installation tampering, commencement, or performance.
  • Invoices and deliveries will only be processed once payment has cleared in MKITECH’s account.
  • Deliveries will be scheduled according to the weekly delivery schedule.
    • Exceptions:
      1. Stock shortages may cause delays or partial delivery of orders.
      2. Public holidays or extraordinary events may temporarily adjust the delivery schedule.

Orders for Collection from MKITECH Premises

  • Proof of Identification may be requested from the party collecting an order. Ensure an original Smart ID Card, Green Bar-Coded Identity Book (ID Book), or Passport is available.
  • Wait for confirmation of stock availability from a Sales Executive before arranging collection.

Orders for Delivery

  • By default, parcels will be sent with the most cost-effective service unless specified otherwise by the customer.
  • Orders with a value of R2,000 excluding VAT will be delivered with the most cost-effective service at no charge.
  • The customer may select a faster delivery service and will be charged accordingly.
  • Extra surcharges, such as fuel, outlying area, and drive-away surcharge fees, will be the customer’s responsibility.
  • Delivery charges for each service are quoted during the checkout process and will be added to the invoice where applicable.
  • Delivery times are estimates and not a guarantee of the delivery date.
